
Since my company was acquired last August, by a large German multinational, I’ve been finding more and more emails in my inbox like this one. It’s funny because when it lands in my inbox, I don’t have a fükkën clue what it’s about from the Subject line but I know it’s from headquarters and I know I should open schnell, before any other email in my Posteingang. Also, note the date on the email. My German colleagues like to work on Sundays when I’m out worshipping at the Church of Cycling. And with a six höur time difference, they won’t get my response until drei o’clock Monday afternoon, at the earliest. They may get the impression I’m a bit of a hund-fükker. I hope not, though. They’re actually a great company to würk for. I guess I should brush up on my German…
