My friend’s recent appreciation of the simple things in life brought the following thoughts to mind:
“The little things in life are BIG. The more we appreciate the little things in life, the less we need ‘things’ to be happy. If you advance that logic as a mathematical progression, as our appreciation of little things increases, our need for ‘things’ approaches zero while our happiness approaches infinity. Of course, that’s assuming you have three squares in your belly and roof over your head… and a toe-licking dog to amuse you and provide companionship. Isn’t life simple?”. You’re welcome.
