Two Wheels To Nowhere

The Polar Vortex Blues ~ The last week of January brought the Arctic to Central Ontario and in fact, to much of North America. Walking to and from work every day I was forced to cover up with my scarf because the uncharacteristically frigid -29c South-west wind hurt my face. I normally enjoy being outside in the crisp winter air but after getting home in the evenings this week I wanted nothing but to remain indoors under a blanket with a hot drink. It likely didn’t help that I was in the grips of a two week flu/cold that was sucking the life out of me by the end of the day. The Vortex has finally receded and tomorrow is forecasted be 6c and freezing rain. Seems there’s no sweet spot in this Winter’s weather. I’ll do my best to try and enjoy February and March but honestly, I can’t wait until Spring… I have to be patient.
