Mother’s Day Stroll, May 9 ~ Mom and I drove up from Barrie to Tiny Marsh, one of her favourite places around here. Mom and Dad spent lots of time on these trails, hiking, biking and skiing and also paddling in the Marsh. Since it was also his favourite place to be, Dad’s ashes were spread here and now he is part of the new growth. Ashes to ashes… We had a wonderful stroll on this Sunday morning; the air was still cool in early May but the Sun and Blue Sky warmed us inside and out. Chatting and enjoying each other’s company, we walked as far as we could into the wet marsh. Although it wasn’t easy at times to push her walker through the mud, Mom pushed on, determined to enjoy as much of the beautiful day and beautiful environment as possible before we turned around to head back home.
