Toronto Symphony Orchestra performed Handel’s Messiah last weekend. An absolutely exquisite performance. Such pure, high fidelity, live sound from the orchestra, choir and soloists brought back memories to our family of Dad blasting Hallelujah on Christmas morning to get our teenage asses out of bed. Mom sat proudly with her children and grandchildren through this fabulous performance by the TSO at Roy Thompson Hall, noting to me quietly in a choked voice that, “Dad would have loved this”. Yes, he would have. A very special experience to share with Mom.
