for millennia humans have been altering our environment to better suit our desires. we have developed a self-assured hubris that we can dominate and control the Natural world that surrounds us. yet, Nature proves to us time and again – think pandemics, hurricanes, wild fires, to name a few examples – that our hubris will ultimately be the nemesis of our species.
