despite the cold, grey, wet weather, Chris and I decided to walk about with Mikayla, Jordyn and Artie. the icy environment comes into sharper focus when seen through children’s eyes. the lights in our home had flickered several times before we left for our walk causing us to speculate there may be several branches down already throughout our neighborhood. our subsequent survey of the ‘hood proved otherwise.

hopefully, the continuing rain and zero Celsius forecast doesn’t precipitate a repeat of the devastating ice storm of 9-10 years ago when we lost half of our Manitoba Maple.
