photo collections

photography has always been a passion of mine. I’m not a photographer per se, but I love photography. however, i am lazy. in past decades, I’ve used a bulky traditional cameras with which I captured images of vacations, events and milestones; occasions to which one would traditionally bring a clunky camera. it wasn’t until I began carrying a smartphone in the last ten years that my photography really proliferated. the freedom and flexibility of always being able to quickly and easily capture a high quality image completely changed my focus. although the high quality and capability of the traditional camera’s lens can significantly improve the quality of the captured image, it’s a moot point if your camera is at home in a camera bag when you see something worth capturing. to me, the key to capturing a great image is largely being in the right place at the right time. always having a camera in your pocket facilitates that. second most important factor is having an eye that can identify an extraordinary image in an otherwise ordinary scene. nineteenth century American poet and philosopher Henry David Thoreau said “The question is not what you look at, but what you see.”

I hope you enjoy the things that I have seen and captured in these collections…
