we arrived in Germany, welcomed by Sun and 15c, calm air – a high pressure system that would grace us for our entire week in Deutschland. we trained from Frankfurt airport to Wiesbaden, where Cora and Jacob live. many of their Canadian and American guests arrived around the same time. Cora and Jacob were the most generous, accommodating and gracious hosts to us all! they toured the party of wedding guests around town and treated us to a Rhine cruise, before we all headed to Cora’s hometown of Tubingen, where the wedding was going to take place.

Spring was in the air! it was a beautiful change from the long, harsh Winter conditions the four of us traveling together – Harriet, Darrin, Chris and I – left behind in Ontario, adding to the sense of escape that this vacation offered us.
