this time of year makes it easy to be on my two-wheeler a lot, whether commuting or for fun. as I ended a BCC club ride this evening, I had punched out on my Garmin and was noodling my way home through the City’s Waterfront transit hub when two late nineteenth century vintage penny-farthing riders rolled up beside me. we chatted briefly as we rolled into the station, sharing our joy of riding on such a beautiful mid-Summer night. I asked if I could take a photo and he laughed from his perch atop the high-wheeler, telling me “sure, everyone we pass wants a picture!”. a novel sight, for sure. (seems my camera’s auto-focus wasn’t as reliable as it usually is, but you get the idea) π
so great to see so many other riders out tonight to Gogh get it, while the weather is so wonderful!
